    • Ersättningsmedel - surrogat, kallat surr - producerades för många ransonerade livsmedel. Det salufördes under krigsåren 155 typer av kaffesurr; totalt 45 miljoner kilo. Kaffesurrogaten kunde innehålla säd, ärtor, betor, potatis, fodervicker, ekollon, kastanj eller cikoria.
