Each stone marks four graves – one on
each side – with individual metal nameplates, like letterboxes on the door of a shared entrance. A communal rest, at life’s final address. Råcksta Cemetery in Stockholm is laid out in the 1960s, dedicated entirely to cremation graves and memorial groves. Open meadows and clusters of trees are
preserved to let the site blend gently into the surrounding landscape.
