The board would be placed in the middle of the square, with a red circle indicating “YOU ARE HERE.” Buildings around the square are colour-coded for easier navigation, the central fountain is marked in rust red. The drawing is produced in the early 1970s by architect David Helldén, who works on the square’s design for over two decades. Sergels Torg is inaugurated in 1967 as part of the major Norrmalm redevelopment, which involves the demolition and reconstruction of large parts of the Stockholm city centre.
