By this time, cremation is becoming more accepted, both by society and the Church of Sweden – a shift that influences how crematoria are designed. Lindgren’s proposal shows a larger building that resembles a chapel rather than a purely technical facility. The interior features a large, bright room with an altar, where ceremonies can take place.
